美國疾病控制及預防中心更新防疫指引，完全接種者在絕大多數室內、外場合可不用再戴口罩。

The facility houses the CDC's Information Center/Library, auditoria and meeting halls, which are used to accommodate in-house staff meetings, and national/international conferences hosted by the CDC, and the National Center for Health Marketing's, Division of Creative Services, which includes a full service television broadcast facility. The exhibit area currently features the "Global Symphony", the first of several permanently installed exhibitions, and changing exhibitions that focus on a variety of public health topics. 目前美國有約1億人施打過疫苗，但接種比率近日有放緩趨勢，尚有35％民眾未完全接種疫苗。但輝瑞﹙Pfizer﹚藥廠生產的疫苗近日獲准向12至15歲人士接種，加上美國疾病控制及預防中心（CDC）最新宣布「免戴罩」防疫準則，可望令更多人接種疫苗。

CDC總監禾倫絲姬（Rochelle Walensky）周四在白宮表示，「CDC在今天向更新了指引，所有完成接種整套疫苗的人，無論參加的活動是室內還是室外，規模大還是小，都可以不用戴口罩，如果你已成接種，你可以開始做那些因為疫情而須要暫停做的事情。我們都在渴望這一刻的來到，就是能能夠回復部分正常生活。」

不過、醫療、護理機構、監獄、露宿者之家等場所，並不適用於最新的防疫指引，搭飛機或其它公共運輸工具時，當局仍建議戴着口罩，指引也沒有禁止地方政府強制任何人帶口罩，而部分商業活動也可要求員工或顧客戴口罩。
